I am the silver sobered moon

I am the silver sobered moon
freed, streaking through wild nights, unnoticed.

Dark death surrounds from every plane
but breach I beyond its simple snare
onto every honest heart
where my own gracious nets are cast,
out from every rustling shadow.

Only when you look to me,
I sink into the fire glowing in your eyes,
and burn until the gold melts straight from the skies.

And, Fortune, make us rich for Fate to have us rise,
I will sing up the dawn.
