moonset

slinking amber between clouds
of mountainy horizons,
making way for the dawn i am;
the golden-yellow crowned for today,
soon to rise above,
leaves me behind trees hidden
from a sleepless watchful eye
that peeks from a far away pane,
almost thinking I disappear,
as he’s made turning away from me,
as slowly the daylight drowns his sights, and he sees only himself
