but only

It is the way of all things that we live and die, but only
the will of man that lives and dies and meets with life again;

as justice prevails, men transgress, and then forgiven
as virtues flourish, vices spread, and hopes bloom out of the ashes

as leaders stand, enemies conspire, and falsehood is silenced
as there be value, good trade and fair recompense

as summers green lush ’till the silent snow covers soil seedlings so soon break
and the crimson-gold sun descending into the dark night rises again pristine.
