in-appropriate

let’s play the game,
cultures for grabs, down, I say—
what you can see, take;
what you name, you tame.

if there were nothin left
t’appropriate,
and we’re made, bereft, twain, cleft,
like an irreconcilable mate—

what would we call the one
with its tail on its face,
chasing its one end, alone,
with all the world, and, but no place,

or would we call at all, so
inappropriate.
