Hastily, She came –

On a deceivingly cold afternoon,

Serene, yet lively

Fluid, yet crisp

Humble, yet rebellious

Hope is the thing with the feathers.

Without timbre, he sighed –

In a poorly ventilated flat,

Content, yet dissatisfied

Replenished, enervated

Drugs are about changing perception.

Painstakingly, cacophony subsided –

Underneath southern lights

Mosaic, yet singular

Distant, yet within reach

Brief, yet prolonged

Criminal is when you stop caring.

Spirited Sun rays shone –

Glazing over the unassuming skyline,

Authoritative, yet unforced

Decisive, yet unruffled

Candid, yet encompassing

Work is a constant alarm.
